JNVST also known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test is an entrance exam conducted for the admission of students in class VI in JNVs which are administered by the government. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are established in 28 states and 7 Union Territories across India. JNVs are co-educational residential schools that are financed by the Government of India Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti was incepted in 1986 to provide quality education to every child under the National Policy on Education. The organization was registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Schemes:

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are a system of Kendriya Vidyalayas or the central schools administered by the government that is launched for the talented students who are predominantly aspiring for knowledge and seek education in CBSE-affiliated schools. These schools are residential schools providing education to these students without any fee. The JNVs provide superior quality education and a good environment, providing complete education about cultural values, physical education and other relevant knowledge required for the growth and development of a person.
